Week 7: Land Acknowledgements and Acts of Kindness

Land Acknowledgements:

South Fork, CO - land of the Jicarilla, Apache, Pueblos, and Ute

Mesa Verde, CO - land of the Pueblos and Ute

- other lands to be acknowledged: Pueblos, Kiowa, Comanche, Kickapoo, Jumanos, Tawakoni, Wichita, Chocktaw, Houma

Acts of Kindness:

- the daughter of a hotel owner had a welcome sign when you walk in that said "Be Kind! Be Nice! Be Human!"

- Woman in Mesa Verde was SO nice when I added a night to take the day off

- My Dad very kindly helped me deal with some Budget Rental car drama

- Jessie and Sara have been very supportive this week in the making of my changes
