Prior to March 12, 2020, I was quite literally living the dream. I had reached a huge career goal and had some amazing projects lined up. And then the entire world changed.

The pandemic changed everything. I unexpectedly spent 8 months living with my parents in Central Florida and it was an incredible time discovering rest, priorities, family history, deep systemic issues in my industry and the country, my tiny place in the world, the meaning of friendship, and how I can be an agent of change and good in the world.

 

 I took myself on a two-month road trip through the western half of the U.S. where I deepened my love of travel. It solidified the need to prioritize making time to travel more and not simply dream about doing it one day. My family priorities heightened. My work priorities changed dramatically. 

 

Even if you are lucky enough to love your work, it is your job. It is not who you are. After another couple of years in the theater grind, but taking more time to travel, my dad got sick and I started focusing on working more remotely.

In January 2024, I started my Independent Travel Agency, Choose Joy Adventures! While I still dabble a bit in Stage Management, travel is where my heart is and helping others make their travel dreams come true is what brings the most joy to my life now.
