Land Acknowledgments:
Tumalo State Park, Oregon - land of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs
BLM Campground, Riley, Oregon - land of the Northern Paiute
Boise and Carey, Idaho - land of the Shoshone-Bannock
Twin Falls, Idaho - land of the Shoshone-Bannock and Newe
Jackson, Wyoming - land of the Shoshone-Bannock, Eastern Shoshone, and Cheyenne
Acts of Kindness:
- attendants at the State Park Campground made sure I was taken care of since I was on my own
- met a 7(ish)yr old kid at Crater Lake National Park who was so excited to talk to me about the Phantom Ship rock.
- my friend, Denise, in Boise was so generous with her space and time.
- met two guys leaving the BLM campsite that were super nice and supportive of my time and trip
- attendant at the KOA campground warned me it was going to be below freezing
- attendant at the Super 8 in Jackson gave me the smaller room price for a larger room so I didn't have to switch rooms between days
May we all be kind to each other.
