Custer State Park, Custer, SD - on the land of the Crow and Cheyenne
Badlands National Park, SD - on the land of the Cheyenne and Mnicoujou
Dickinson, ND - on the land of the Hunkpapa, Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara, Métis and Cheyenne
Wolf Point, MT - on the land of the Blackfoot, Métis and Assiniboine
Lewistown, MT - on the land of the Blackfoot, Métis, Crow and Cheyenne
Essex, MT - on the land of the Ktunaxa
Wind Cave National Park - Pam, my new friend in the gift store
On the way to Badlands National Park - a member of the Oglala Lakota tribe helped direct me to the open entrance of the park
During my Notch Trail adventure - there was a family that had hiked it before that cheered me on
And getting to Lewistown - the folks on the phone helping me through what to do with the bird (Janice and Shane), the sheriff that pulled the bird out of my grill, the two adventurers who guided and checked in on me, Jack, the river Ferryman, and Kandy at the motel.
And tonight, the clerk at the Inn I'm staying in Essex gave me secret access to wifi.
Thank you for your sacrifices and your generosity and for lifting me up and keeping me going.
I. Am. Brave.
